Wild Blue Adventure Company

Wild Blue Adventure Company

Before any trip I like to scour Google Maps in search of interesting attractions, adventures, hikes, and tourist traps. While planning our trip to Bear Town State Park, I happened across Wild Blue Adventure Company located in Fayetteville, WV. A quick inspection of their website peaked my interest. Advertising multiple packages to get an aerial view of this beloved state, and some of its landmarks.

The idea of getting this view from the front seat of the fully restored 1940 Boeing Stearman biplane got my mind reeling. I love the beauty, craftsmanship, and history that it represents. This exact plane was once a trainer for the US Army Air Corp and other allied pilots, a roll that was crucial to defeating the Axis Powers during WWII.

This gorgeous, wood framed, and canvas clad time machine is expertly piloted by Bill Chouinard. Bill isn’t just an expert pilot with over 20+ years experience. He also has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the area, and will impart as much as possible in your time together. Highly skilled, and passionate about performing aerobatics, he will gladly run you through a series masterful barnstorming maneuvers. This is an option available at no extra charge, and eagerly provided so long as the weather and your tummy cooperate.
