Hola.

Welcome to My Traveling Habit. From day trips to bucket list expeditions we will attempt to immortalize our adventures in this here blog and our other social media accounts.

Mountain State

Mountain State

Wild Wonderful West Virginia, much of our early content has been captured here. This gorgeous state became our most frequented destination after a few of our favorite people purchased a remote wooded parcel of land in Braxton County. We have been making regular trips to work and play ever since.

Just a seven hour roller coaster ride lands us smack dab in the middle of what might as well be an alternate universe. Full of amateur race car drivers, and volunteer hospitality ambassadors. The Upside Down of West Jersey’s flat land suburban sprawl. Where a traffic jam is officially proclaimed after a third vehicle packs up with 2 others all careening across a razorback two lane mountain road at a snail’s 55 MPH.

In 5+ years of visiting the area we have yet to meet someone who is just plain rude. While it is impossible for those folks not to exist, we just haven’t run into any yet. Many of the people we met are transplants from New Jersey and other North East states.

Most of those expatriates spend many breaths trying to convince you that you belong in West Virginia, same way their friends convinced them. While we love this state I don’t think we’ll settle down here. We need to do more exploring before deciding on that move. No matter where we go though, I think we will always find time to explore this amazing state.
