Havasu Paradise-Solar Heated/ Salt Water Pool
You might be able to tell by the listing title or the main listing picture, the pool is a big selling point for this Airbnb property. While this feature is a big bonus, it should not be chalked up to being the only draw.
The Property is centrally located in Lake Havasu City, the largest city in Mohave County, Arizona. LHC boasts an estimated population around 53 thousand residents, a city yes but at just over 1,200 per square mile it feels more like an expansive suburban oasis. Being born and raised along a main artery of South Jersey’s suburban sprawl, this city feels like home minus the traffic and humidity.
Clearly visible in the video above, shot on an idle weekday morning around 8am with little traffic even on a main thoroughfare such as McCulloch Boulevard which hugs half of the entire city. The foundation of transport in and out of the city is based off of State Highway 95, which is certainly an arterial tap off of the Interstate System but a sleepy highway compared to the hustle and bustle of most major cities.
The interior of the house echoes this home like sentiment with a welcoming feel. Simple, and comfortable, earth tone decor. This 3 bed, 2 bath was perfect for us. The large master bedrooms sits right off of the entryway of the front door which helps ease the mind of any parent on vacation. The bedroom boasts a king size bed, TV, a walk in closet complete with extra bedding if needed, and the best part of all… the master bathroom. Complete with his and hers sinks and the usual needed amenities but the pièce de résistance is the walk in shower. The tiled shower with perfect water pressure, exactly what was needed after a long day of swimming. The two additional bedrooms each with their own queen beds, TV’s and large closets were perfect for the kids to have their privacy while still being close to the 2nd full bathroom in the hallway.
The main open concept living area comes complete with a pull out sofa, loveseat, recliner, and a large TV which is loaded with all of the popular streaming apps, just sit back and relax. Hop on over to a full dining room table to fit 8, and full size kitchen with many of the necessities to prepare a home cooked meal. Complete with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, farmhouse sink, stove, microwave and the most important of all, the coffee maker. Sitting beside the kitchen is the laundry room with full size washer and dryer and then through a door to enter the garage. The 1 &1/2 car garage is perfect for keeping your car cool from the Arizona heat and houses an electric car charger, additional full size refrigerator, pingpong table & cornhole boards.
Just outside the kitchen is the covered porch complete with ceiling fans and water misters to keep you cool even out of the water & patio furniture for relaxing and snacking by the pool. The solar heated salt water pool was always the perfect temperature to jump right in. Night swimming was one of our favorites thanks to the color changeable pool light and the LED lights surrounding the backyard oasis. Outside of the pool surround were horseshoe pits and a finished playhouse that any kid would love to have. The decor and native cacti were the perfect finishing touches for this backyard paradise and the daily visits from the quail accompanied by their chicks made for great topics of discussion with our kids.
This Lake Havasu Paradise is located a mere 2.5 hours from Las Vegas, Nevada making McCarren International a great location to fly into. The drive to and from this Airbnb make the entire trip worth it. The long expansive straight stretches, and well designed wide sweeping twists and turns are 99.99% of the time accompanied by pure ocular pleasure. Unless you dislike mountains, deserts, big sky, and the remnants of 20th century, fizzled out dreams of staking a claim or opening a tourist trap along some dusty desert highway.
